1/ City to offer visa on arrival, type C/F/L/M/Q2/R/S2
On August 28th, theImmigration Dept of Gansu officially began accepting port visa applications.
Specific foreign nationals visiting Gansu can now enjoy "landing visas" at the Zhongchuan International Airport in Lanzhou.
Seven types of port visas for urgently entering foreign nationals, including:
crew members, visits, group tourism, business, family visits, talent exchanges, and personal affairs.
2/ China No Longer Requires COVID-19 Test Before Entry
Starting from Aug 30th, people coming to China will no longer be required to have nucleic acid tests or antigen tests before entry, according to the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson.
This decision marks a significant shift in entry protocols and aims to streamline the travel process for visitors. The new policy is expected to have a positive impact on international travel to China, making it more accessible and convenient for tourists, businesspeople, and other travelers.
3/ Foreigners Continue to Benefit from Personal Income Tax Benefits
On August 29th,the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration issued an announcement to further alleviate the tax burden on taxpayers.
The announcement will be effective until December 31, 2027
Foreign individuals who meet the conditions of resident individuals may choose to enjoy special additional deductions for individual income tax, or they can enjoy tax exemptions for subsidies
such as housing allowances, language training fees, and children's education expenses.
4/Pazhou Ferry Terminal in Guangzhou plans to add two more ferries to and from Hong Kong International Airport
Starting from September 1, Pazhou Ferry plans to add two more ferries to and from Hong Kong International Airport and also makes adjustments on the schedules to provide cross-border transportation services for the upcoming 134th Canton Fair.
5/China Issued New Version of Instructions for Applying for a Visa
Recently, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden and the Consulate-General in Gothenburg issued the new version of the "Instructions for Applying for a Visa to the People's Republic of China".
Main policy:
a. Those who have visited China with M-Visa several times can apply for multiple entry M-visa valid for more than 12 months.
b. If documentation showing the relationship of spouses, parents, sons or daughters between the applicant and the inviting individual can be provided, (marriage certificate, birth certificate, proof of kinship issued by Public Security Stations or notarized certificates of kinship),the applicant can apply for multiple-entry Q2 visa valid for more than 12 months.
c.From August 10, 2023 to December 31, 2023, eligible applicants for business, tourism, family visit, transit, and crew visas for one or two entries will be exempt from fingerprint collection.
